It’s just a shame the song isn’t a bit more memorable.
Their music is actually very good. It’s almost a shame that the remarkable videos upstage the songs.
I’m wondering if Steve might mean that it’s not very interesting, musically. Sure, it has a catchy melody, but really doesn’t do anything with it in terms of variety or dynamics. In that regard, it actually works well for something like this because it provides less of a distraction from the illusions. A pity Jerry Andrus is no longer around; he probably would’ve loved it.
Hey, I thought it was great. Even better on the second viewing. Unpretentious, talented group of guys. Really a cute production.
