Here is today’s new puzzle…..
There are four suspects and one of them has committed a crime. They make the following statements, but only one of them is telling the truth. Who committed the crime?
Jon: James did it.
James: Bob did it.
Sid: I didn’t do it.
Bob: James is lying.

If you haven’t tried to solve it, have a go now. For everyone else, the answers are below….
OK, here we go…..
1) FOR SALE
2) I UNDERSTAND
3) BROKEN IN HALF

Feel free to follow the blog for a free daily puzzle. See you tomorrow!
Much to consider
Bob is the Killer.
If Bob’s the killer it means James is telling the truth.
Sid isn’t the killer, so Sid’s also telling the truth.
Only one is telling the truth.
Many thanks Mr W. – keep them coming.
Er, that would be a spoiler if it was correct.
Excellent logic puzzle, I love these!
I’ve got the answer, won’t drop a spoiler but just go through each one and see if any statements contradict any others.
Jon
Sid did it
But Sid said he didn’t. My Uncle Sid was always an honest man, so it’s hard to believe he did it 🙂
Though, I note, Richard doesn’t what he did. Maybe, that’s tomorrow’s puzzle.
De acuerdo con philhearn… 🙂
The “I understand” one might’ve worked better if the letter I had actually been under the word STAND (ideally A).
Bob
If Bob’s the killer it means James is telling the truth.
Sid isn’t the killer, so Sid’s also telling the truth.
Only one is telling the truth.
Jon
Sid committed the crime.
