Pete C. brought my attention to this amazing video.  How do you feel when you watch it? And, obviously, don’t try any of this at home!

    Redefining the word “idiocy”…

  2. Alan says:

Don’t worry – I won’t be recreating this. I get dizzy just standing on the pavement!

  3. I have sweaty palms after watching this video

  4. Stevie says:

I felt indifferent. Perhaps I’d feel differently towards it if viewed on a larger screen than my phone.

  5. Mark says:

Could not watch it more than 30 seconds.

  6. Philip says:

Darwinian way for taking idiots out of the breeding chain early, can’t help worrying that you’re encouraging others to give it a try!!!!

  7. I think they’re stupid and daring. Apart from that, doesn’t phase me. Now, if I were trying to repeat their actions, I’d be terrified of falling, but I have no problems watching that video.

  8. Miss Chili says:

Watching this the first time through on a small YouTube window, I had to expand it to full screen, but it still didn’t faze me. A few of the shots seemed to be filmed with a fish-eye lens, which looked cool to me.

  9. ChrisR says:

This left me literally speechless for a few seconds. I caught my breath when the chap dropped onto the red bar, and I’m not sure when I started breathing again. I know they have strong hands (a recent BBC4 programme showed how climbers’ hands differ from non-climbers’ which explains why they can hang on with one fingertip) but there’s risks and there’s risks. I won’t be trying to do this at home (or away)

  10. Looks pretty exciting — a lot of adrenaline — I wonder what the planning is behind those acts. We see only a few seconds but I am sure there much more to it.

    • Probably not. I did similarly dumb things in my youth based on nothing more than (and I’m sure there’s a proper term for this; Richard?) The Male Group Dynamic. There were no cameras at the time to record the thrills and spills, though. In the balance, it was probably a lot safer than going out drinking and driving.

He’s pretty famous on the internet, he’s been around for a while without dying (5 years or so?), so he’s doing something right. He says he does all this to get money for a Mustan (hence the website).

  11. Gus says:

I don’t have a fear of heights, but I know my limits and I’m not stupid.

The fish eye lens enhances the sensation of vertigo.

  12. Alex says:

You can’t try it at home. Besides this made me feel worst : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eUD-Au5O-30

It made me feel pretty queasy. Also, despite all the warnings I really worry these videos encourage others. Can’t deny I enjoyed watching it though.

Look out the door of an airplane window seconds before you’re about to jump, then we’ll talk.

This video is just a lot of yawn.

  16. James A. Brown says:

So, this is a “In Loving Memory” video, I take it? A heartfelt homage to a “free soul” who “died doing what he loved”?

  17. The other Matt says:

I ve got wet hands and feets. This is a very old reaction of the human body when get nervous, to become more grip for climbing.

  18. Hey there! I could have sworn I’ve been to thius site before but after reading through ssome of tthe post I realized it’s new to me.
