1.7542443 damn!!! I’m so slow!!! it was quite easy though!!

• Solved. If the rest of today’s problems are as quick to resolve I will be finished in a flash.

• this is a joke

2. Neil Denham says:

Does it have to point the opposite direction (which I can’t do), or just another direction? (which seems too easy?)

• Sillybaaaastrd says:

It’s that easy. Problem, like all of his, is very carefully worded, so only need to change from current direction to any other. As soon as you notice which coins make the head, and which make the tail, ….

3. twalker500 says:

Got it! It only took a few seconds.

4. Mike Hitchcock says:

That is a nice easy one.

Thank goodness for that. One that I can actually do intuitively… A second and bit; maybe

8. SofARMaths says:

A few seconds

Couple of seconds, but think you’ve had something very very similar in the past

10. Martha says:

• liam says:

How? The answer is yes or no. You either can or can’t. We are not in the realm of quantum physics here.

• Martha says:

Those are two different answers, aren’t they?

• Dave says:

Hah! Take that, Liam.

11. matt says:

Easy, instant. Yes I can do both those tasks. I can even do them simultaneously.

12. drewbk says:

easy peasy this week!

13. vicinca says:

14. Laura says:

Very easy… 10 seconds and two answers

15. The Moron says:

16. Elyss says:

Yes, a couple of seconds

17. Thicko says:

How a pathetically easy.

• Dave says:

Leaves you more time to work on your English.

• Thicko says:

Keep trying…

18. Yep. Mere seconds.

19. A couple of nano-seconds to get BOTH answers! Too easy.

• Anon says:

21. -M- says:

2 solutions

22. Anonymous says:

23. rmb says:

Did not have any clue in the beginning. Then I read the comments and ‘Ah!!’.

24. Ron says:

Arrow?

25. Anonymous says:

i thought i had solution but this solution was wrong. after some second i got another solution. now correct

26. Stephen Fry's Wardrobe Malfunction says:

27. 1 second–lemon squeezy

28. Sorry, but that was so easy even I solved it. See me after class, Wiseman.

29. Consultant says:

There’s not much room to move the two coins, so they can’t be in a line like they are currently. Hmmmm,

30. TS says:

No I can’t and it took me 0.01 second to come to that conclusion.
I suppose it could be argued that I didn’t really try.
I can only agree with that…

31. Hippy Moonbeam says:

You can’t insist they move, man. They have to WANT to move.

Now pass the bong.

32. Eddie says:

So easy it looks like a trick question.

• Hippy Moonbeam says:

It is!

• Eddie says:

You mean the obvious answer isn’t correct?

• Hippy Moonbeam says:

33. thigimenes says:

For the very first time I’d say it was REALLY easy!

35. Ian says:

Cheers, Richard, that is an easy one: got in within a couple of seconds 🙂 It’s a fun little puzzle, so thanks for that. Have an excellent weekend 😀

36. Lazy T says:

two simple moving answers, many answers moving no coins using a mirror,
many answers turning the screen around,,one by converting to hexadecimal and then roman numerals and so it goes and so it goes

• Eddie says:

And so what goes?

• Lazy T says:

It,
but where it’s going nobody knows

Clue: if you don’t like people blurting out clues in the comments, don’t read them until after you’ve done your own thinking.

38. the great me says:

if i can use the answer from here:
then the answer is “yes, there are endless solution”…

44. Just Mike says:

No. I see circles, but no coins.

45. Anonymous says:

I got it before Richard knew he was going to put it up.

46. Mort says:

Took about 10 seconds to realize the direction I wanted to point the arrow would not work. After that it took about 2 seconds to come up with two solutions.
