World’s best 3D art?

I am a big fan of 3D art, and a few days ago Chris L sent me one of the best examples I have ever seen…

Like it?

Wow! Now, speaking as an artist, that is very impressive! Thanks for sharing more delightful inspiration, Richard 🙂

Excellent- but is it a whippet or a greyhound??

I’d love to see one of these in real life. Does anyone know if they’re announced anywhere beforehand?

How is the bottom of her right leg hidden?

  6. TS says:

    (pedant) It’s not 3D art, it’s unusual-perspective-specific-viewpoint art. (/pedant)

I’m splitting hairs here, but is this technically “3D”? It’s certainly impressively rendered but the art itself has no dimension. If seen in real life the illusion breaks down because your left and right eye aren’t getting the corresponding images.

That said, the way the woman is kneeling really adds to the effect.

What I like is the 3D tiger is coming out of the 2D telly, it’s a nice touch. And obviously she is sat in exactly the right place to make the illusion work. It’s a very nice photo, or some 3D artwork.

What was his work called? I am a College student in Level 2 Graphics and Design. I’m reviewing this exact piece and I need the name of his work to finish my project, so it would be so kind if you could tell me. if you don’t know, I’ll just call it 3D TV
