Richard has presented keynote addresses to organisations around the world, including Microsoft, Caltech, Google, The Royal Society, The Royal Television Society, and The Royal Institution. In 2009 and 2010 he emceed The Amazing Meeting (London) and spoke at several festival including The Edinburgh International Science Festival, The Edinburgh Book Festival, The Cheltenham Literary Festival and The Dubai Festival of Literature.
Richard has appeared alongside Tim Minchin, Dara O Briain, and Stuart Lee on Robin Ince’s ‘Nine Lessons and Carols for Godless People‘. Most recently, Richard spoke at the Google Design Lectures (London), presented the opening address at the ESOMAR Congress 2012 (article here) and spoke at the Swiss Economic Forum.
In 2012 he presented his new show, Psychobabble, at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival to sell out audiences and positive reviews (‘hugely entertaining’ Fringe Guru 5 stars; ‘hard to beat’, Fringe Review 4 stars; ‘very funny and very entertaining’, Three Weeks 4 stars).
