Agree that the first owl is a real barn owl, overlaid with fruit, don’t like the toy one either. If forced to choose, the fruit one, because it looks like a real owl
The first is exceptionally well done – really, really good – but I much prefer the second, probably because, as a representative object, it just has more ‘character’.
Seems odd to me to compare the two owl images in terms of a preference, perhaps because they’re so different. They’re both good to look at but for such different reasons that it’s a bit like being asked whether I prefer table tennis or tomato soup!
These are both delightful, Richard. Thanks for sharing them I couldn’t choose a favourite, as there’s a completely different style to each: the artistic skill and accurate portrayal of the first is excellent and the personality of the second is delightful, so they both stand equally on their own strengths and they’re both good in their own way
The first one.
The second one looks like he needs to be loved I prefer him
The fruit owl is great but looks photoshopped. I do prefer the sad owl with the sad red eyes and slouch.
Shopped or not – it’s really striking
the fruit one

The first one is genius. Looks like made by an anorak though.

While we’re on the subject though I did find this comparable kitten (couldn’t paste image so here’s website, alter my post if you like RW!) http://gamerwg.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/sad-kitten.jpg
Tomato soup, real owls and six of one not half a dozen of the other.
I like the fruit owl, it is very cute.

The Guizmo one !!
I don’t give a hoot about owls.
Twit!
To who?
Reblogged this on ending one minute at a time and commented:
The second one is cute: the first one is awesome, the face is so lifelike
The sad owl is clearly a mogwai in disguise, and the first one is eerily close to the real deal…
the 1st one, cause i’d feel bad eating the 2nd one. x
Table tennis.
The first one is really cool! But you wouldn’t want to get the second one wet though… or feed it after midnight, for that matter.
Nice First, likes Arcimboldo style. http://www.giuseppe-arcimboldo.org/the-complete-works.html
Nice First, “Looks like” (sorry my english) Arcimboldo style. http://www.giuseppe-arcimboldo.org/the-complete-works.html
I prefer second, is free and real, is possible that only it had a bad day.
The second one.
