Never did it (yet), but if I have to one day, I think I’ll project the image (using a beamer or something like that) from the point of view I want.
Then draw / build / make the thing.
For those like me, who were too occupied with the girl, I can tell you, there actually was a 3D illusion in this video! And that is an illusion in itself.
Anyway, toddling off, good video
Hmm s’ok. But I knew roughly what was coming from the first frame after seeing the candle one. The way forward for these things imo would be to find a way of making it look like 2 or more different, recogniseable objects from different view points.

Those aren’t too hard to do (start with a projector), but the effect is always fun.

I liked the one with the candles better – apart from anything, it had much less awful music, and was so much more unexpected.
