Curious illusion photos and more sinning

First, my thanks to everyone who was kind enough to take part in the new sinner or saint experiment yesterday.  If you haven’t participated yet, please come over to www.sinnerorsaint.org and confess your sins!  Second, I came across these three great photos recently and thought you might enjoy them.  As far as I know they are all genuine – feel free to say which is your favourite!

  1. STrimmer says:

Great Pictures; however, I am not entirely convinced the first one has been unaltered.

  2. Hannah R says:

as a dancer i can really appreciate the first photo.

  3. Cassie says:

As an ex-rhythmic gymnast, I am envious at the flexibility of the girl in the first photograph.

@ STrimmer – oversplits is a fairly common ability amongst dancers and rhythmic gymnasts, even I used to be able to do them, though not as extreme. The photographer was in a good position.

I like the second photo as well… statues playing basketball is a scary idea

if you liked those, you might like http://www.flickr.com/photos/parkgallery/3627940606/in/set-72157617749881047/ .. unaltered, turned into a poster :)

  5. Paul Pearson says:

All 3 are faves. Great laughs.

  6. Livi says:

The gymnast is my favorite photo, she is s damn flexible. I believe that it is a true picture.

  7. ScreamingGreenConure says:

    Statue for the win.

  8. ButMadNNW says:

I like the third one. Something about the comedic effect of elongated extremities…

  9. I like the last one, I have a pic of me and my friends that’s just like that!

  10. I think that’s a statue of Lenin? Not sure if the Bolshevic Party would have been into the new western sport of basketball, but he seems to have a natural flair!

  11. Gus Snarp says:

Took me a minute to see the third one. The basketball one is definitely my favorite.

By the way, those photos are classics.

I think I’ll choose the last one as my favorite. The statue is really great, but I’ve seen it before.

Oh! I LOVE the Lenin slam-dunk!!!

  22. Miss says:

I’d seen the dancer and had to look real hard to figure out what the big deal was in the football picture, but the basketball pic made me smile almost instantly so it definitely gets my vote.

  23. OleJ says:

Well, at the man shooting a basketball, you can see at his feet that he is standing on the propane tank or whatever that tank is, because some part of his feet are hidden, so, that is not edited. The football-or-something photo is not edited to, because you can, using something called IQ, know that the player to the left of the player with number 13, is also holding his hand up, but you cant see it directly, because of the player that you can see all the way to the left has a head that is in the way of seeing the shoulder of the second player holding his hand up… Take a look again, and you get it…
