  2. ButMadNNW Says:

    Yes.

  3. Brian's A Wild Downer Says:

i saw the lion before i saw the zebras

  4. Victor Meldrew Says:

Got it instantly, whereas I failed with the zebra.

  5. Mchl Says:

Conclusion: Lions are much easier to spot than tigers

  6. Kevin Lewis Says:

It took about 5 seconds, but now I can’t look at the picture *without* seeing the lion.

  7. Konrad Talmont-Kaminski Says:

    You are what you eat.

  8. Jenny Says:

I saw them both at the same time, noticing more detail of the zebras but my attention being captured more by the lion.

  9. Robert Irving III Says:

very easy. i saw a lion before i saw zebra’s. so, in less then a second.

  10. expatina Says:

Easy to do because of the eyes. The blue/green one was the best!

  11. Richard Says:

It’s not even clever! The eyes are just a lion’s eyes in the middle of some grass!

  12. Casper Says:

It seems a bit too forced. The lion is easily spotted while the zebra parts that actually make up the lion features are harder to spot. Nice but forced work. There are many others that work way more smooth.

  13. Gert Says:

Took some time to see it, but once I saw it there was no way to not see it anymore.

  14. Kaz Says:

    This one seems too easy.

  15. pete Says:

    this one was easy =)

  16. Richard Says:

A conjunction of my screen/browser configuration and the design of your page meant I only saw part of the picture at first glance so it was impossible to miss!

  17. Sander Says:

I immediately saw something else was in the picture. When I read the text, after I read the word lion I instantly saw it.

  18. Jamie Says:

Yep, I saw the lion straight away – much easier than the tiger one.

  19. ScreamingGreenConure Says:

Took me a while to see the lion’s eyes were zebra ears.

  20. Michael K Gray Says:

    Immediately.
    At last…

  21. AnNa Says:

First thing I saw was the lion’s eyes.

  22. Arno Says:

Yep, spotted it in about 5 secs. The ears of the zebra really gave it away due to their unnatural position.

  23. Lich King Says:

    i can c 2 lion……can any of u c it???

  24. Per Says:

I surrender. Nowhere among all zebra stripes is “the lion” written. And I thought I’d got a hang of it after the business with the tiger.

At least there I could see a tiger in the leaves. The fact that so few others saw it just proved I have special gifts. The message in the stripes was just a decoy to separate the gullible from the chosen ones.

So the quest goes on. The lion like decoy has been found by the masses but “the lion” must be cunningly and subliminally hidden at a deeper level. Only to be found by he or she who is worthy … I’m not.

Oh, and I’m not at all bitter for being completely fooled by the tiger illusion. Not at all. Not a bit. I promise … really, I do.

  25. Nick Sharratt Says:

Like others, I saw the lion first – so less than a second. But there’s a reason got that….

  26. Lucia Says:

    yesssss!!! :-D

  27. nikki Says:

As soon as I spotted the lion – in about 2 seconds flat – found it near impossible to pay any attention to the zebras, unless it was to notice the ‘mutant’ parts of them which form bits of the lion.

  28. Catherine Says:

Saw in about half a second. The eyes are the massive giveaway.

  29. kiran Says:

yes – the eyes give it away!

  30. Sally Says:

Saw the lion’s eyes and mane first, then the zebras.

  31. cam Says:

    Saw it straight away.

  32. Lux Says:

Like others, saw it before I saw the zebras. Could be normal, could be my obsession with anything feline.

  33. Matt Says:

Reminds me of the classic Find The Spam.

  34. steph Says:

haha, i saw the lion before i finished reading “can you spot the lion?”

  35. Bevans Says:

I wonder if the size of the image has any bearing on its difficulty. As a 4-inch by 5-inch image on my screen, all the stripes and grass just looks like noise to my eyes, and it makes it much easier to see the lion image. But I can imagine it being more difficult to see if it was a 5-foot wide painting hanging on the wall, and you were only 4 feet away from it.

  36. Rebecca Says:

The first thing I noticed was the zebra chest wierdness that makes up the lions mouth. As soon as I pulled back a little it resolved itself into the lion.

  37. Liz Says:

That’s interesting. On the small shot before I opened the main blog, I could see the lion perfectly, but on the larger it’s less distinct.

  38. mjr256 Says:

I saw the lion before the zebras instantly.

  39. kevin Says:

    straight away

  40. Alan Thomas Says:

Its funny – very quick – the lion really leapt out at me :)

  41. Jewel Says:

Yep, saw it right away. Much easier than the tiger one.

  42. Mike Says:

Not really an ‘illusion’ is it?, just two images merged together and tweaked a little.

  43. jenny Says:

It took me less than a fraction of a second to find it.

  44. Dan Says:

awesome drawing though! Must take a great deal of skill to draw it.
